PRIMA 2003 This page covers the 2003 Prima contest activities. As announced last year we again ran a couple events in 2003 plus a postal contest for those who couldn't make the trip.
The events were duly run, 5 entries, at Sculthorpe in conjunction with the Stonehenge Cup, 1 less than 2002, however all who flew had fun so thank you to them. Thanks to Igor Vivchar who is the brains behind the model.

Report and results from David Beales
Several PRIMAS were present at the Croydon Wakefield Day, but only mine flew. Due probably to a stiff breeze that made for tricky launches and long recoveries
All the photographs were taken at Sculthorpe on 21st September Below you will find the results and a selection of photographs. The pictures include both the models and the unwelcome visitor.

The Prima event was held at Sculthorpe on 21/09/03. The event was held at the same time as the Stonehenge Cup. The weather was warm and sunny with a breeze picking up during the morning.
The event was run by Mr. Prima, Igor Vivchar with assistance of the flyers. This year a new entrant Wim Feyth from the Netherlands won the event. Wim's model flew well and deserved to win. He also flew the previous day in F1B. Pat Turnbull's efforts were cut short when the d/t failed, the model was located later a few miles from the field up a tree. The model was recovered the following day with some damage inflicted by strong wind and rain. John Whitby's Prima d/t'd early on hs first flight then crashed on launch in the second round.
The event was cut somewhat short by the arrival of the military wanting to make use of their airfield!
The Postal Contest
As in 2002 we had an entry from Sweden.

Bengt Stibner writes that the time keepers were Berit Hansson, Svea Levin, Ingvar Persson and Borje Nilsson.
Come on the rest of the World, give these Swedes a run for their money in 2004.
