KEVLAR is an extremely difficult material to cut without the proper equipment. These scissors are designed to cut difficult materials and are ideal for cutting Kevlar. To cut Kevlar the material should be held taut and the cutters operated smoothly and slowly. They can be used for other tough materials and will nibble their way through a 2p piece! The sheet can be cut with a diamond saw and used without recourse to any further finishing. Alternatively cut with heavy duty knife. Fix with with either epoxy or cyano.
UNIDIRECTIONAL CARBON FIBRE MATERIAL CUT TO SIZE
There is a move towards purchasing pre-cut carbon spars rather than using sheet stock to cut ones requirements. The range of spars available has been revised and presented in a more logical format, the sizes provided should satisfy most needs. The spars are cut on a diamond saw so can be used straight away without recourse to any further finishing. Cap strips are excluded as these are easily and best cut with a knife from sheet by the user.
